I work for Expertise France, where I serve as the Coordinator of the Technical Assistance Facility for the TEI OP‑VET. Launched in 2024 by the European Commission together with four EU Member State agencies as part of the Global Gateway initiative, this TEI aims to support EU investments in Sub‑Saharan Africa by ensuring that vocational education, training systems, and skills development are aligned with investment priorities and labour market needs. The programme applies an OP‑VET approach focused on concrete employment opportunities. During the forum, relevant information will be shared with participants through a dedicated side event. This session will address key challenges and potential tailored solutions to ensure the availability of appropriate skills and a qualified workforce necessary for successful investment implementation. It will also include a presentation of the services offered by the Facility, with particular attention to the needs and interests of private‑sector stakeholders.
