Impact Investing Ghana (IIGh) is the GSG Impact National Partner in Ghana. We are an independent private-sector-led initiative promoting sustainable development and advancing the development of the impact investment ecosystem in Ghana and a member of the Africa Impact Investing Group. IIGh is supporting the growth of impact ventures and catalysing US$ 1 billion in impact funds for investment in Ghana and the West African sub-region. Impact Investing Ghana (IIGh) works by conducting research in the field to identify gaps and then convene all relevant stakeholders in collaborative groups to create an action plan, secure commitments and monitor and track progress over time to increase impact investments. IIGh has significant experience in this field; IIGh leads collaborative work to fill these gaps including sponsoring the set up of locally domiciled fund of funds Ci-Gaba to unlock pension funding to invest in the productive sectors of the economy. The organisation also hosts the Enterprise Support Organization (ESO) Collaborative which is the national group convening all ESOs including government agencies Ghana Enterprises Agency (GEA) and the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP) around a shared common goal of increasing the visibility, quality and sustainability of ESO support in Ghana. Outputs of the ESO Collaborative include the building of esoghana.org as a national platform to increase the visibility of enterprise support programmes to help entrepreneurs across Ghana access these programmes. IIGh has also partnered with the Impact Investors Foundations (IIF) Nigeria to launch Deal Source Africa which is a comprehensive programme to connect businesses with investors, connect businesses with transaction advisors and connect local impact funds with potential limited partners in Ghana and Nigeria and across Africa through the Africa Impact Investing Group. Since launching, quarterly Dealrooms have been held with a 100% satisfaction rate on behalf of businesses and investors, 7 deals worth over USD 1.9 million have been closed with several in the pipeline.
