I earned my BSc degree from KNUST; MSc from University of Nebraska, Lincoln and a PhD from Iowa State University, Ames, USA. My research interests are varied.

At Concern for Action in Our Community Ghana (CONFAC-GH), we are dedicated to fostering sustainable development and improving the quality of life in our communities. We engage in various initiatives that address pressing social issues, empower marginalized groups, and promote collective well-being. By collaborating with local stakeholders and leveraging resources, we strive to create lasting change and inspire a sense of responsibility among community members. About me

I am a Principal Research Scientist with about 30 years of professional working experience in the National Agricultural Research System as a farming systems agronomist and soil fertility expert. I worked at the CSIR-Savanna Agricultural Research Institute (CSIR-SARI), Tamale Ghana, since 1989. I am the immediate past Director of CSIR-SARI. I have served as the Regional Coordinator of the Research Extension Farmer Linkage Committee (RELC) for Upper West (2005-2021). In addition, I have served as Head of Division of the CSIR-SARI, Wa Station (2012-2018) and Deputy Director of CSIR-SARI (2019 -2020).My main areas of research include integrated soil fertility management, conservation agriculture, climate change and food security, seed technology and participatory research approaches. I have also collaborated on several research and development projects funded by Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF), Africa Development Bank (AfDB), CG centers (e.g. IITA, ICRISAT, CORAF, AfricaRice), GIZ, FAO, IFAD, World Bank, Global Affairs Canada (GAC), United States Agency for International Development (USAID), Research Program on Climate Change, Agriculture and Food Security (CCAFS) and many local jurisdictions, with local and international partners. I have trained several farmers and agricultural extension workers on good agricultural practices for various crop production and participatory research and extension approaches. additionally, I have trained agricultural extension staff and seed producers on seed production techniques as well as seed business management.
