About me
Nicolas Jørgensen Gebara is a distinguished expert in trade and investment, with over 30 years of experience leading complex, high-impact projects across both the public and private sectors. As CEO of the European Chamber of Commerce in Ghana (EuroCham), he plays a central role in strengthening the Ghana-EU business partnership—bringing together government leaders, European investors, and Ghanaian entrepreneurs to forge partnerships, unlock emerging opportunities, promote conducive business environments and address barriers to trade and investment.
Over the course of his career, Mr. Gebara has demonstrated exceptional capacity to lead multidisciplinary teams, deliver sustainable outcomes, and shape strategic decision-making in complex, fast-evolving environments. His expertise in trade facilitation, investment promotion, and institutional capacity building has been instrumental in advancing EU cooperation with Ghana and other African partners—particularly in key sectors such as agribusiness, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, and renewable energy.
In his senior leadership roles, he has overseen a wide range of trade-related initiatives and contributed directly to the negotiation and implementation of preferential agreements, working closely with ministries of trade in Ghana, Côte d’Ivoire, and elsewhere. His approach is defined by innovation, strategic alignment, and a strong focus on stakeholder engagement, ensuring that initiatives deliver both commercial value and policy relevance.
Highly respected for his ability to navigate the political, economic, and operational dimensions of international trade, Mr. Gebara brings a depth of insight and diplomatic acumen that makes him a trusted partner in high-level negotiations. His leadership of the Ghana-EU Business Forum reflects a steadfast commitment to building bridges between Europe and West Africa, and to shaping a future of shared growth, sustainability, and resilience.
