Eunice Biritwum is an Associate Director with Deloitte Ghana in the Consulting business, where she leads the new energy consulting team. She has with over thirty-three (33) years of professional experience in the Power Sector in Ghana and the United States, and is currently the Team Lead for Outcome 1 of the Ghana component of the USAID-funded Power Africa’s West Africa Energy Program where she is leading the team to effect optimization of the supply of sustainable, reliable and affordable sources of power generation and addressing power delivery to end users, addressing efficiency in the use of energy to mitigate costs, and address operational and technical issues for sector entities, promote the deployment of renewable  energy in the sector.

She is also the former Chief Executive Officer for CENIT Energy Limited and has wide experience in the areas of independent power generation project development, management and implementation, contracts negotiation, integrated utility and IPP operations management and governance, Public Private Partnerships, wholesale energy markets transactions administration, among others, and is a member of the Energy Commission’s Technical Committee.

Shortly after leaving CENIT Energy, leveraging her passion for gender advocacy in the energy sector and in business at large, Eunice got involved as one of the founders of, and a Technical Advisor to, the formation of Women in Energy Ghana, now Women Leaders in Energy (WLE) Ghana, a network committed to showcasing women’s contributions to, and promoting women’s leadership in, the energy sector. WLE’s membership comprises women in senior leadership roles in private and public institutions in the energy sector.  Eunice is currently the Chair of the Executive Council of WLE and is also the immediate past Chairperson of the Executive Committee of the Executive Women Network (EWN).
